Nice video and I agree with everything but the part where you said to always be a higher ISO and avoid wide apertures... I mean why going higher in ISO if you can compensate for low-light with a faster lens? I dunno for corporate, but concert photographers use quite some prime-lenses and f2.8 telephotos; shooting wide open on a telephoto is not uncommon with low-light situations. 
Another thing worth mentioning about flash, is that it could disturb potential TV cameras, or just video in general. Unless the cameraman is a total pro at news gathering and deal with photographers's flashes all the time (come cameras also compensate for it), chances are you'll ruin someone else's work... not cool.
